Overview The PL2303 USB UART Board (type A) is an accessory board that features a USB-to-UART serial convert PL2303, USB Type A connector, and 3 LEDs: TXD LED, RXD LED, POWER LED. There is also a jumper used for selecting VCC output level provided on the board: 1 Short the jumper to select output voltage level as 5V or 3.3V. In this case, the accessory board is powered from USB connection and provides power to the target application board 2 If the jumper is open, the accessory board should be powered from the target application board (3.3V-5V) Note Support Windows 8 PL2303TA compatible PL2303HXA Features PL2303TA, USB type A connector, UART interface, VCC output level selection jumper Instructions for use: (to access MCU for example) Package 1* PL2303 USB UART Board (type A)
• VCCIO: output 3.3V or 5V (module consists of USB power supply, should be the jumper cap jump to 3.3V or 5V)
• GND: GND
• TXD: MCU.RX (signal flow: MCU.RX < < PL2303 < < PC.TX)
• RXD: MCU.TX (signal flow: MCU.TX > > PL2303 > > PC.RX)
